Gorillas walk on all fours with their knuckles on the ground

Older gorillas are called silverbacks because the hair on their backs turns grey.

Their are two species of gorillas: mountain and lowland.

Both are now endangered!

Gorillas are the largest of all primates, a group which includes
orangutans, chimpanzees, monkeys, and humans.

When provoked or challenged, male gorillas will stand at their full height and beat their chests with cupped hands in an attempt to scare off the intruder.
If this display does not work, the gorilla may charge.
