Modern monitors and operating systems use 16.7 million colors. Almost everybody you know can access these colors any time they boot up their computer. However, there are some hold outs on older model computers that refuse to stay current with the times and technology. There is nothing wrong with that. They just want to use what they are familiar with and with what works for them. These colors will display correctly all the way back to Windows 95.
While we are free to use any colors we tend to stick to these. As much for nostalgia as anything. You can choose any colors you like. There is a very nice color picker at Facade. We use this from time to time also.
