How to be found on the web
Search engines are a complex system of algorithms attached to a web crawler (spider or robot) to obtain information about web sites across the internet. This information is then returned to the search engine so that sites can be indexed on SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages). Our job is to pass the information to them. We use a variety of techniques to do this.
We use the title and description meta tags to provide an overview of each page. While the keyword meta tag is not used by many search engines anymore we still include them. But meta tags only get you so far. Content is still (and will always be) king. We strive to put clear, concise content on every page. We want everybody to know what you do.
We submit to a wide variety of search engines and web directories. Most of them are automated. However, the really important ones, such as Google or Bing, we do by hand. We use the tools provided by those search engines to maximise your placement on those search engines.
